We provide workforce support to member practices to help manage short-term staffing pressures, planned absences and recruitment gaps.
Support is available across a range of clinical and non-clinical roles, including:
- GPs
- Advanced nurse practitioners (ANPs)
- Practice nurses
- Healthcare assistants (HCAs)
- Pharmacists
- Patient coordinators
Patient coordinators can support practices with:
- Patient registration
- Appointment management and call handling
- Reviewing patient history and previous test results
- Sending tasks and administrative support
Practices are provided with access to Luna, a workforce management platform used to coordinate staffing and practice support requests across Brighton & Hove.
The platform can be used for:
- Requesting bank shifts
- Requesting clinical or administrative cover
- Arranging cover for training or practice closures
- Booking Basic Life Support (BLS) training for practice staff
This support helps practices maintain service continuity, improve workforce flexibility and streamline access to staffing support across member practices.
